“Im Sommer ist in Geilo nicht sehr viel los, es ist vorrangig ein Wintersportort. Es gibt aber eine schöne Badestelle am See. Die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind durch vier Supermärkte, die sogar am Sonntag geöffnet haben, sehr gut. Um Restaurants und Sportmöglichkeiten haben wir uns nicht weiter gekümmert, es gibt aber wohl verschiedenes.”

“Einkaufen kann man im nächst gelegenen Ort Geilo, der ca. 5km etnfernt ist. Man lernt wieder zu planen und für eine Woche einzukaufen.

Vom Haus aus konnten viele Spaziergänge/Wanderungen unternommen werden. Wir 5 Männer haben uns vor allem selbst mit diversen Spielen und Aktivitäten beschäftigt. Auch das Bücherlesen war hoch im Kurs. Für Kinder daher eher ungeeigent. Ausser man möchte sie von den üblichen Medien wie Fernseher, Computer und Handy fernhalten. Man kann dort wieder richtig eine Familie sein (Gesellschaftsspiele, gemeinsames Kochen, vor dem Feuer sitzen und reden ...).”
