The "Haus Gisela" is located at the beginning of the picturesque mountain village hundsbach (climatic health resort), in the middle of the Black Forest National Park at an altitude of about 700 m; about 5 km away from the popular Black Forest High Road (B 500). Free parking and free Wi-Fi are available on site. Pets are welcome on request (extra charge). For your bicycles we offer a safe and lockable storage space. There is a regular bus transfer to the nearest larger villages Bühl and Forbach. Shops are available outside the village (from 12 km away). Our village is an ideal starting point for excursions to the popular wine region Ortenau, for hiking enthusiasts there are award-winning hiking trails in the immediate vicinity.B such as the West-Weg, the Murg-Leiter and the Baiersbronner Himmelswege available. For art and culture lovers, the proximity to Baden-Baden (25 km) should be mentioned. The nearby Alsace with Strasbourg (50 km), or Europa-Park in Rust (70 km) attract for a day trip. Swimming opportunities are offered by 3 swimming pools in the immediate vicinity and the Schwarzenbach Dam. Winter sports enthusiasts will get their money's worth with cross-country skiing (cross-country ski trails in the garden possible), alpine skiing, snowshoe hiking (in Hundsbach and on the Schwarzwaldhochstrasse), sledding and ice skating on the natural ice rink at Wiedenfelsen.

The large holiday apartment on the 1st floor in Haus Gisela, newly renovated in 2023, has a separate entrance and a large, sunny balcony that surrounds all the rooms and can be accessed via them. The apartment is ideal for up to 4 people with its 2 separate bedrooms. The two bright and spacious bedrooms are equipped with 2 large beds (2.00 m by 2.00 m or 1.80 m by 2.00 m) and a spacious two-door wardrobe. The bright daylight bathroom has a large walk-in wellness shower, a toilet and a large vanity. We provide a hair dryer, toilet paper, liquid soap, hand sanitizer and facial tissues. A bright living and dining area with an open fitted kitchen invites you to linger. Let your gaze wander out of the large picture window into the open valley with a stream. The fully equipped kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, a ceramic hob with 4 plates with an oven, a microwave and a large fridge with a separate freezer compartment. The basic equipment for other needs includes a filter coffee machine (including filter paper), a kettle, a toaster, a hand blender and frying oil, spices, washing-up liquid, hand soap and garbage bags. For your safety, a grease fire extinguisher and smoke detectors are installed. On the large balcony there is a seating set and a parasol to linger in the summer months. From there you can enjoy the view of the Hundsbach valley and the forest behind it. With a bit of luck you can see wildlife in the early morning hours or at dusk. There are many wild birds in Hundsbach; some stay at our bird feeder in the garden and can be observed from the balcony. A small collection of books, a collection of games (various dice and board games), crayons and children's books are available to pass the time. A collection of information material about our holiday region is also available. A washing machine and tumble dryer are available in our private basement if you wish. In the apartment itself there is an ironing board and an iron. On request and for a fee, the separate new wellness area with infrared cabin (max. 2 people), exercise bike, loungers and walk-in wellness shower including toilet and separate washbasin can be used.
