Italian country estate with five apartments, a pool and terrace, with a view of the fabulous mountain village Todi


This old country estate is situated on a hill in the midst of Umbria and therefore affords a great view of the fabulous mountain village Todi.

The old buildings of La Torriola, which formed the heart of a farm for many years, were converted into five lovely, modern and comfortable apartments. They are charmingly furnished and decorated and are fitted with heating. Free wireless Internet access is available. The owner can provide a child’s bed.

Outside there is a 12 x 6-metre pool (depth 1.40 to 2.50m) for shared use. The garden has a grill area and a large terrace with tables and chairs. There are also a table tennis table and a pool table. There is a large parking area for at least five cars.

The owner can offer sampling of olive oil, wine and Umbrian specialities.

The estate is surrounded by 16 hectares of wonderful land with olive groves, vineyards and forests, which reflect the flair of the region. You can stroll around here, gather grapes and mushrooms, watch hares and squirrels. Explore the srroundings with mountain bikes. The historical mountain town Todi with its old buildings, range of shops and great restaurants is just 10 minutes away. Owing to the location at the heart of Umbria, this country estate is an ideal starting point for trips to Perugia, Assis, Orvieto, Gubbio, Spoleto and Lake Trasimeno, all within an hour by car.

One of the two bedrooms is furnished with a double bed (170x190cm), while in the other bedroom has two single beds (85x190cm) are. The main bathroom has a sink, a toilet and shower.     “Firstly, at the booking stage we were won over with Maurizio's kind nature. When we arrived we were amazed to discover just how good the apartments, the grounds and the pool were! The apartments were spotlessly clean, the kitchen very well equipped (kitchen roll, washing liquid, cloths all supplied). Lovely to have an oven as many Italian apartments do not have ovens. The bedrooms all have hand crafted wooden furniture which felt very homely. The BBQ and al fresco eating area is carefully planned to give each apartment privacy but you can also be sociable if you wish. The grounds are all well kept with mature fruit & walnut trees and wonderful scented hedges of rosemary and lavendar surrounding the pool. We spent some very relaxing time by the pool and some time exploring the many hill top historical towns. We also found a lovely local walk and were able to watch the grapes being harvested. We stayed here for a week but wish we had stayed longer but for sure we will return. Maurizio really takes care of his guests and you certainly leave feeling you have made another friend. The welcome gifts were delicious and we purchased more olive oil to take home. Thank you Maurizio for all your hard work you have put into your apartments, we had a wonderful holiday.”

    “Das Ferienobjekt liegt auf einem Hügel gegenüber der Stadt Todi. Die Lage mitten zwischen Oliven- und Wallnussbäumen ist ideal für einen geruhsamen Urlaub. Maurizio, der Besitzer kümmert sich um seine Gäste und gibt sehr gute Tipps zur Erkundung der wunderschönen Umgebung. Von hier aus sind viele interessante Orte in Umbrien leicht mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Die Zimmer sind sauber und mit allen notwendigen Dingen ausgestattet, die einen Aufenthalt angenehm machen. Der Swimming Pool wird täglich vom Besitzer gereinigt.
    Wir haben schon einige Male sehr schöne Zeiten hier verbracht, und werden das bestimmt wiederholen.”
