This independent house in Vianden offers absolute privacy and tranquillity. The chalet is located high above Vianden and offers a beautiful view of the town and the forest area. The owner has equipped this unique home using eco friendly furnishings and hopes to make it completely environmentally friendly in a few years time. A private parking lot is available where you can park your car (access via a forest path, followed by a walk of 20 metres). The terrace opens on to the balcony of the chalet. The living room and the kitchen have a beautiful wooden floor. The bathroom, the toilet and two bedrooms are also located on the ground floor. From the living room you can reach the third bedroom via a steep staircase. From the large, covered balcony you can enjoy a spectacular view of the land and the town of Vianden. The owner has devoted a lot of attention to the exterior of the house as well. There is a large playground with swings, a barbecue and two beautiful terraces. The swimming pool in Vianden is located within walking distance of the house. The water supply to the house comes from private sources and is not monitored. Vianden is a well known city situated near the border with Germany. This attractive city is nestled amid very impressive natural surroundings and has many pavement cafes, shops and good tourist infrastructure. Across Vianden runs the river Our, which runs along the border with Germany. Vianden owes its fame (beautifully restored and worth seeing) to the great fortress of the House of Orange-Nassau, the Victor Hugo Museum and the interesting town hall. Vianden is rich in history, and yet also offers modern facilities. You can ride on a chair lift and enjoy the beautiful view from above. Several beautiful signposted hiking trails start from here. There is an adventure park with many climbing opportunities for children and adults. Vianden also has an open swimming pool. You can also visit the pumped storage plant. From the summer of 2015, you can also enjoy a walk along the banks of the dam, which is highly recommended based on personal experience.
