A stunning and peaceful mountain setting like this, so close to the fabulous beaches and golf courses of the Costa del Sol, yet outside the more densely populated areas, is hard to resist. Perched on a hill between the iconic whitewashed towns of Canillas de Albaida and Cómpeta, this gem of an estate is a perfect base for exploring this charming region. This stunning villa has been newly built and equipped with ultra-modern amenities. It has been designed to maximize the panoramic views from each of its three floors with huge floor-to-ceiling patio doors and stunning roof terraces. At the front in a pretty lawned garden is the beautiful pool with an inviting hot tub. The interior has honey-colored limestone floors and crisp white walls softened by patterned Moroccan rugs, colorful pillows and carefully selected artwork. The open-plan lounge is bright and airy, with a comfortable L-shaped sofa and a refectory-style table that seats ten people ? the perfect setting for a lively family gathering. The elegant monochrome kitchen is well equipped and fully fitted, complete with breakfast bar and stools.
At the back of the house is an outdoor grill kitchen with a shaded dining area for more relaxed al fresco dining. The modern bedrooms are decorated with splashes of color. The wonderful Arabian-style roof terrace is furnished with traditional Moroccan banquettes loaded with cushions, and is an idyllic spot to watch the stars or admire the sunset after dinner.
Andalusia's ancient pueblos blancos (white towns) are justly known for their dazzling white architecture, picturesque cobblestone streets and shaded plazas, and Canillas de Albaida and Competa are no exception. These pretty villages offer a range of cafes, restaurants and stores and are within easy reach of the villa. The adjacent Sierra de Tejeda is a national park famous for its excellent hiking trails, biking routes, and wildlife viewing, while the villa is still only a half-hour drive from the sea, should you crave some sand between your toes.
Please note that some bedrooms are accessible via the external spiral staircase. We ask for extra caution and children must be supervised at all times. This may not be suitable for all guests.
